Purnima Lamba to be Mahindra Group’s next Chief Brand Officer

Purnima Lamba as been appointed as the next Chief Brand Officer of the Mahindra Group. Lamba will take over the position on September 1, 2026.

Lamba will be responsible for the Group’s corporate brand and communications strategy. Her role would require Lamba to focus on strengthening and shaping Mahindra Group’s brand narrative while being aligned with its values, vision and business goals.

The mandate for Lamba also includes making sure that brand consistency remains intact across the Group’s various businesses. She will also be responsible for launching initiatives with a goal to enhance Mahindra’s presence across traditional and digital platforms.

Lamba will be moving to the Mahindra Group from Unilever where she has worked for nearly two-and-a-half decades. At Unilever, Lamba held various senior leadership roles across India, the UK and the Netherlands.

Lamba’s expertise is recognised in brand-building, business transformation initiatives, consumer engagement, communication strategy and digital innovation.

Lamba holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Management from London School of Economics and Political Science.
