Bihar govt launches ‘Brand Bihar’ initiative to build ‘future-ready identity’

Brand Bihar initiative

The Government of Bihar has launched a new campaign aimed at improving the state’s public image as well as position it as an attractive destination for investment, innovation and economic opportunity.

The campaign has been named ‘Brand Bihar’ and it has been set up under the Chief Secretary’s Cell.

The ‘Brand Bihar’ initiative aims to shape a long-term cohesive identity for the state using coordinated branding, communication, and strategic positioning.

As part of the campaign, the NDA government will promote development initiatives that have been undertaken in the state, institutional reforms undertaken, entrepreneurship ecosystem, cultural heritage etc.

Sate Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit will guide the initiative strategically, which will be supported by Shradha Sharma, the founder and CEO of YourStory Media.

Multiple government departments and institutions, as well as industry stakeholders, startups, academic bodies and communities will come together to build a “unified narrative” around Bihar’s transformation.

The key pillars of the Brand Bihar programme include:

– Building and strengthening Bihar’s identity
– Showcasing developmental work, governance reforms and citizen impact across departments
– Positioning Bihar as an investment-friendly destination
– Creating collaborative platforms involving government departments, industry, startups, academia and local communities
– Developing a long-term brand architecture and strategic communication framework for the state
– Establishing AI-led monitoring systems and dashboards for sentiment mapping and perception analysis

Officials said the initiative would help improve Bihar’s visibility among investors and businesses, and also help build a “future-ready identity” for the state.
