To mark popular mango drink Maaza’s 50 years of existence, Coca-Cola India and the Department of Posts have issued a commemorative Special Cover on National Mango Day.
Maaza’s golden jubilee celebration Special Cover also pays tribute to farmers whose produce has ensured the availability of the refreshing drink over the last 50 years.
The Special Cover, titled ‘Celebrating 50 Years of Mango in a Bottle’, aptly depicts the product – a go-to mango-based beverage available throughout the year.
The commemorative cover is a philatelic treasure that also depicts artwork based on mango orchards and the brand’s signature bottle.
Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, released the Special Cover in the presence of Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Chief Postmaster General, Delhi Circle, the Department of Posts, and representatives from Coca-Cola India, its bottling partners, Foods & Inns Ltd and NGO partner CENDECT.
Speaking at the event, Minister Paswan said: “India has achieved self-reliance in food production, and our next priority is to create greater value through food processing by strengthening infrastructure and expanding market opportunities for our farmers.”
Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, vice president, integrated operations, Sundeep Bajoria lauded the collective efforts of farmers, processors, bottlers and distributors for ensuring the authentic taste of Indian mangoes reached consumers for the last five decades.
Maaza was launched in 1976 and since then, it has become a synonym for mango drink. The beverage is manufactured using Indian mangoes, including Alphonso.
As part of Maaza’s year-long golden jubilee celebrations, Coca-Cola India has already released a national campaign, ’50 saal se, sip-sip mein aam’.
