Keeping the health of its customers in mind, Zomato has announced the launch of a new feature called Healthy Subscriptions.
The subscriptions are available under the Healthy Mode and enable users to order food from health-focused restaurants on a recurring basis. A user basically has to subscribe to multi-day meal plans being offered by these restaurants to avail the service.
Zomato’s Healthy Mode already lists restaurants which provide meals high in protein.
Customers in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru will initially be able to subscribe to this service.
Zomato Marketing Head Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney said on LinkedIn that users can opt for 3-day, 5-day or 15-day meal plans. For a 15-day plan, each meal would cost around Rs 250.
Users availing of this service will have the option to choose between lunch and dinner, alter dishes, reschedule delivery, and customise their plan as and when they wish to.
To reward users who choose to subscribe to this service, Zomato has also announced a free one-month Cult Elite membership for them.
As Indians become more aware and turn to healthier food choices, Zomato is also trying to provide options to cater to these preferences. It was under this initiative that Zomato launched Healthy Mode in late 2024.
Sawhney said more than 10 million orders have been placed since then under the Healthy Mode, with many users preferring to keep this filter as their default mode.
