With the July 31 deadline to file Income Tax returns nearing, online tax filing platform ClearTax has come out with a brand campaign built on the same theme. The campaign titled ‘Double Check’ stresses on the need for accuracy and the reassurance provided by the platform in filing ITRs.
The campaign takes inspiration from the people’s natural habit to double-check any financial decision, and extends it to the filing of ITR, an annual requirement.
As part of the campaign, the company has released three films featuring a trader, an investor and a wealth builder who all use ClearTax and its expert-assisted ITR filing service.
All three films depict everyday behaviour around financial matters, while underscoring the need to verify Tax Returns before submitting them to the IT Department.
The company felt the need for the campaign considering rebate limits have undergone revisions over the last few years, with the government also making New Tax Regime as the default one. Further, with investments and online trading on the rise and salaried taxpayers actively involved in these activities, the filing of Tax Returns has become a complex activity.
It is in this context that ClearTax is using the ‘Double Check’ campaign to position itself as a trusted partner that helps users file accurate returns, identify eligible tax savings and access expert assistance when required.
According to ClearTax, it is not merely in the service of providing convenience but also of instilling confidence among taxpayers to make sound financial decisions.
Archit Gupta, founder and chief executive officer, ClearTax, said, “The way Indians engage with their money has been evolving constantly. People are trading in F&O, holding equity portfolios, exercising ESOPs, and earning across more than one source. They are tracking their own gains and managing portfolios that look very different from a single salary slip. ‘Double Check’ is rooted in that shift. It reflects a consumer who expects the same diligence from the platforms they use. Our focus is on building products that match that, keeping filing simple, reliable and accurate even as the income behind it gets more complex. Whether it is greater accuracy, surfacing every eligible saving, or expert guidance when needed, the goal is to give taxpayers confidence in every financial decision.”
