India’s leading public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), has collaborated with Omnicom Media India for its digital marketing mandate.
Reports said Monday that the mandate has been awarded to the agency following a competitive pitch process.
It has been reported that the mandate is worth around Rs 250 crores. If the number is correct, then this would be one of India’s largest digital marketing mandates coming from the banking and financial sector.
The mandate would see Omnicom Media India spearhead SBI’s digital marketing initiatives across platforms, audiences and consumer touchpoints.
The agency will be driving strategy, planning and execution as far as digital marketing is concerned.
The SBI has awarded the mandate as it continues to push for digital outreach and fortifies its engagement with customers.
The largest public sector lender has also been working on digital transformation and experimenting with data-driven marketing approaches. The aim is to improve brand visibility, boost customer acquisition, and strengthen adoption of online services across the rural and urban belts.
