Visa Strengthens Leadership in India and South Asia with the Appointment of Rishi Chhabra as VP, Head of Merchant Sales & Acquiring

Visa, a global leader in digital payments has appointed Rishi Chhabra as Vice President and Head of Merchant Sales & Acquiring for India and South Asia. In this role, Rishi will lead Visa’s efforts in driving strategic partnerships, expanding merchant acceptance, and advancing digital payment solutions across the region.

As per the company, he will be instrumental in charting the strategic direction for and leading the local MS&A teams for Visa in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives.

Prior to joining Visa, Rishi has held executive leadership positions at companies like Fiserv (erstwhile First Data Corp.), PayPal and JP Morgan. Rishi is a proud alumnus of Visa, having previously spent over 3 years as a Business Leader in the US Small Business Product team. In his most recent role at Fiserv, he served as Country Head and General Manager for the India and Sri Lanka markets. Shailesh Paul, who till recently led the Merchant Sales & Acquiring team for India and South Asia, has now moved to Singapore in the role of Vice President, Global Small Business Solutions for Visa.

Anshul Khanna has been promoted to Vice President and Foods Category Head of India and South Asia at PepsiCo. Khanna shared an update about his new role on LinkedIn.

Khanna is a home-grown talent and previously held the role of senior director of marketing, foods category at PepsiCo India. Khanna was previously senior director, global brands marketing, based out of Dublin (Ireland).

PepsiCo India’s diverse portfolio includes iconic brands like Pepsi, Lay’s, Kurkure, Tropicana, Gatorade, and Quaker. In two decades, the company has been able to organically grow eight brands that generate Rs. 1000 crores or more (1.6 billion USD) in estimated annual retail sales and are household names.
