Mumbai 26^th December 2025: Hindustan National Glass & Industries Limited (HNGIL) India’s largest container glass manufacturer, today announced the appointment of Rakesh Mehta as Chief Operating Officer (COO), North for HNG, effective immediately. This key leadership addition follows HNGIL’s acquisition by Independent Sugar Corporation Limited (INSCO), part of the Uganda-based Madhvani Group, in September 2025.

The appointment underscores HNGIL’s post-acquisition strategy to enhance operational excellence and drive growth in northern India. Mehta will oversee facilities across locations, focusing on supply chain optimization, production efficiency, and market expansion for clients in pharmaceuticals, liquor, beverages, and food sectors (please suggest this).

Rakesh Mehta brings over two decades of expertise in finance, commercial operations, contracting, and regional leadership. Previously, he served as Finance Head – North at Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. since 2013 and in similar roles at Reliance Retail, managing distribution, logistics, and operations across Gurugram and northern markets.
